A workshop on Mixed Methods in the Social Sciences

Recap of our mixed methods workshop!

On 31 January 2025, our Mixed Methods Workshop took place at TU Dortmund University.

With 25 participants - including scholarship holders of the doctoral programme as well as doctoral students from the fields of sociology, educational research and rehabilitation sciences - there was great interest in methodological diversity and interdisciplinary exchange!

Mixed methods designs and challenges were discussed together, empirical examples highlighted and exciting research projects presented.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Nicole Burzan for organising the content and all the participants for their active participation.

As part of the doctoral program "New Challenges in Aging Societies," we are hosting a workshop on Mixed Methods in the Social Sciences, led by Prof. Dr. Nicole Burzan.
