The team at TU Dortmund University has several unique characteristics for the successful realization of the doctoral program "New challenges in aging societies", as it can build on a long tradition of sociological research, methodological linkages, and transformative research, among other things, with regard to the research focus "Living in aging societies" and the interdisciplinary master's program "Aging societies". The joint scientific and methodological qualification of the scholarship holders will be bundled in the Center for Higher Education (zhb). The study program comprises various working formats and events. These include regular colloquia, workshops, and field trips. The scholarship holders may also take advantage of offers from the structured study program as needed. This includes tailored support based on their needs and strategic career counseling and mentoring. The Research Training Group offers the perks of an exchange-based structural training program while simultaneously allowing doctoral candidates to independently carry out their research projects.
