Welcome students,

in this section you will find everything you need to know about starting your studies and the orientation week 2021.


There is now a Facebook group for first-year students!

Orientation week ("O-Week")

The Orientation-Week will take place from 04.10. - 08.10.2021 and is planned in digital form (access links will follow shortly).


Tuesday, 05.10.

  • 10.00 - 11.00: Welcome, information on starting your studies and introduction to the faculty
  • 15.00 - 16.00: How do I arrange my schedule?

Wednesday, 06.10.

  • 10.00 - 12.00: Information on schedule, studying, semester abroad and student council/committee work
  • 15.00 - 16.00: How do I arrange my schedule? (individual advice/registration by e-mail)

Thursday, 07.10.

  •  10.00 - 11.00: Introduction to the University Library (Zoom link)
  •  12.00 - 13.00: Open hour (study coordination)

Take a look at the information on the Ersti-Page of the TU Dortmund University. There you will find a lot of important information about studying, about life and studying at the TU Dortmund and about starting your studies.

You will receive further information in the near future; in the meantime, it would be very good if you could familiarise yourself with the platforms Moodle, Cisco-Webex und Zoom.

Yes, please try not to have any other important appointments during the O-Week. However, if you do, please let the coordinator know so that we can inform you about what you missed.

In case you want to go to the university campus: Find out about the current Corona rules and hygiene measures (keep your distance, wash your hands, wear a medical mask).
