Information on the procedure
One-to-one mentoring will become an integral part of the degree course from the winter semester 2023/2024 in order to provide support at the start of the degree course and throughout the rest of the course. This will give you the opportunity to receive advice and support in a personal exchange with experienced lecturers from the department. A wide range of topics can be addressed depending on your needs: What are my individual goals? What is the best focus for my studies? What if I want to change my major/complementary subject/am dissatisfied with it? How can I organize myself? ...
The Moodle room "Mentoring Program Department of Social Sciences" is available to all participants of the mentoring program. This is where information and news are shared and appointments are made between mentors and mentees. Please register in the Moodle room (access via your university account).
The mentors in the department are lecturers who teach courses in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Sociology. You can choose your own mentor (depending on availability/capacity).
As a rule, two meetings are arranged per semester (one at the beginning of the lecture period, one towards the end). The frequency and number can be adjusted as required.
