Sociology at the TU Dortmund University
For example, what role do local and global, but also national and international contexts play in the study of social environments? The degree course provides a diverse and empirically broad range of topics to explore these and other contexts:
In the fields of
- Family and age(ing)
- Migration and gender
- Structures and cultures of inequalities
- Work, organization and digitalization
- Socio-ecological transformation and social innovation
- Science and higher education
we focus on the interplay between
- space (e.g. from local to international contexts) and
- time (e.g. social change, future perspectives)
in their social constructedness.
In addition, research workshops (qualitative or quantitative), comprehensive reflection modules and a practical module are integral parts of the degree program
