"Diversity and Gender" certificate: new course offered by the UA Ruhr

Starting in the 2025/26 winter semester, the partners of the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) will expand their joint course offerings to include the certificate program “Diversity and Gender.”
The partners in the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) are expanding their joint course offerings for the winter semester 2025/26 to include the certificate course "Diversity and Gender". Students from TU Dortmund University, Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the University of Duisburg-Essen can take the courses and complete them with a certificate.

The new certificate program "Diversity and Gender" of the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) is aimed at Bachelor's and Master's students from all disciplines. It provides in-depth knowledge of diversity, gender, social inequality and intersectionality and enables students to critically question discrimination and power. The programme comprises three modules: an introductory module with basic concepts, an in-depth module with optional courses and a practical module in which specific fields of action are analyzed and an internship in partner organizations is completed. The course starts in the winter semester 2025/26, TU students can register until October 10. The places have already been allocated, but it is possible to be placed on a waiting list.
