The T-Factor project is an Innovation Action funded under the EU research program Horizon2020. A total of 25 European partner organizations, 6 of which are pilot cities, are investigating and testing over four years the opportunities and challenges of meanwhile uses as part of urban regeneration. T-Factor addresses the transition time, i.e. the time between the adoption of a master plan and its actual implementation. The consortium's goal is to make the transition period accessible for many creative uses in larger urban development projects, especially with regard to the regeneration of historic urban areas. Within the framework of T-Factor, the Social Research Center is conducting a case study on "Urban Redevelopment Rheinische Strasse and Dortmunder U". In addition, the SFS is developing two Transformation Labs on the topics of "Digitization and Urban Production" and "Social Innovation and Inclusion. The Social Research Center's practice partner is the Social Innovation Center of the Economic Development Agency Dortmund.
