From January 22 to February 19, 2021, an electronic vote was held among eligible members (as of January 21, 2021: 3375) for the chair, executive committee (term 2021-2023), and half of the 2021 Council of the German Sociological Association (DGS).

Prof. Dr. Nicole Burzan was elected to the Council with the second highest number of votes. Congratulations!

Elected for the council besides Nicole Burzan are: Stephan Lessenich, Steffen Mau, Sina Farzin, Birgit Blättel-Mink, Gabriele Rosenthal, Annette Treibel, Georg Vobruba, Henning Laux, Larissa Schindler, Silke Steets, Elisabeth Tuider, Anne K. Krüger, Ute Volkmann and Peter Ullrich. Since Heike Delitz, Jörg Strübing and Petra Böhnke are members of the 2019 half of the Council elected for a four-year term, have been elected to the Board and accept their election, Kathrin Leuze, Herbert Kalthoff, and Natascha Nisic move up to the Council for their remaining two-year term.
