TU Dortmund University, with its 17 departments in the natural and engineering sciences as well as the humanities and social sciences, is a dynamic university with a strong profile in research, teaching, promotion of young talent and transfer.
The Department of Social Sciences comprises sociological teaching and research areas, the Social Research Center (sfs) and the Didactics of Social Sciences.

Profile of the professorship

You have a clear sociological research profile, with clear links to transformation-related social research and the key topics of the Social Research Center Dortmund (social innovation and/or labor research). We are looking for a research orientation that combines practical approaches and theoretical reflection. You are also expected to be willing to take on a leadership role at the Social Research Center in the future. You will participate in research networks and collaborations both within and outside TU Dortmund University and be committed to supporting mid-level researchers. You will participate appropriately in the teaching of the faculty.
