As part of the Social Sciences Colloquium, Honorary Professor Anita Tisch delivered her inaugural lecture on the topic “Myths and Legends in the Context of Work and Health: Contributions from the Social Sciences to the Objectification of Public Debates.” She provided interested students, researchers, and guests with fascinating insights into her research on work and health. Drawing on empirical research findings, she shed light on, among other things, common misconceptions regarding the link between increased sick leave and sick notes issued over the phone. The Department of Social Sciences looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Honorary Professor Dr. Anita Tisch and to the new perspectives she will bring to research and teaching.
