We congratulate on the successful completion of the doctoral thesis!

We congratulate Judith Kaschowitz, who successfully defended her doctorate on 10 July 2020 and graduated "summa cum laude".

In her doctoral thesis, Judith Kaschowitz, a research assistant at the Chair of Social Structure and Sociology of Ageing Societies, investigated the effects of informal care on the health of caring relatives. In particular, she investigated which role the household, migration and country context plays in this respect. For this purpose, she conducted empirical cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses using data from the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). Her dissertation is entitled "Angehörigenpflege als Gesundheitsrisiko? Die Rolle des Haushalts-, Migrations- und Länderkontexts".

The dissertation was examined by Prof. Dr. Martina Brandt (TU Dortmund), Prof. Dr. Dirk Hofäcker (University of Duisburg-Essen) and Prof. Dr. Monika Reichert (TU Dortmund).
