On 29 January 2027, Nicole Burzan and Philipp Kadele will present key findings from their research project on small-scale landlords at the Dortmunder U. The event will explore the role of this often-overlooked group in rental housing practices and society, bringing together researchers and representatives from the German Tenants´ Association (Deutscher Mieterbund) and Haus & Grund for discussion.

While the rental housing crisis ist the subject of heated debate and large housing corporations dominate public attention, small-scale landlords remain largely under the radar - even though they constitute the largest group of housing providers, including in major cities. As their research project on this often-overlooked group draws to a close, Nicole Burzan and Philipp Kadelke aim to share their findings with the public and ivite discussion.

Further information about the event can be found on the department’s website.
